We transformed this contemporary coastal home in South Coogee into a warm, artful and inviting family retreat. After moving from their Federation-style home into a striking, modern property of glass, concrete and strong architectural lines, our clients wanted interiors that felt more personal, colourful and welcoming.
Our vision was to soften the home’s edges while celebrating its architectural character and breathtaking views. A curated palette of warm, saturated tones was layered with timber, terrazzo and tactile fabrics to balance the cool, linear architecture. The family’s vibrant art collection inspired playful combinations of green, terracotta and blue, adding depth and individuality throughout.
In the main living area, removing angular joinery and re-orienting the layout opened the room to the view, while textured sheers and curved furniture created a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Custom oak joinery, soft curtains and timber flooring transformed the main bedroom into a serene retreat.
In the powder room, our concept direction was brought beautifully to life by the clients — a stunning soft pink marble vanity and clean lines that elevate the space for guests.
The result is a home that feels warm, cohesive and full of personality — a true reflection of its owners and their vibrant coastal lifestyle.
